Frequently Asked Questions:
-
Glimmerglass Medical & Wellness (GMW) is a private medical provider in the area that the Glimmerglass Festival has partnered with; it's just a coincidence they both share the Glimmerglass name (similar to how we are not affiliated with the Glimmerglass State Park!). Through our partnership, GMW offers a highly discounted rate to be seen ($25.00/appointment).
-
You can make an appointment to be seen under the Glimmerglass Festival Community Access Employee Care Program at the Glimmerglass Medical & Wellness Clinic by calling 315-216-7100 during the Scheduling Hours of 9:00 - 11:00 am. Appointment times vary by provider and patient availability.

Most definitely! You can be seen and treated for minor first aid or illness, and if your condition requires more attention than the Glimmerglass Medical & Wellness Clinic can provide, the staff there can refer you to another provider of care. Chronic conditions and new conditions that require referral to specialty care may be subject to an additional fee.
-
You can schedule a ride to the Glimmerglass Medical & Wellness Clinic through the Company Management Ride Request Form on our Company Portal! There will never be a charge from the Glimmerglass Festival to get you to any medical appointment. 48-hour notice for appointment transportation is greatly appreciated! As always, if it is an emergency, do not call Company Management, call 911!
-
If you need the Glimmerglass Medical & Wellness Clinic outside of the scheduled hours, you can seek care outside of the Glimmerglass Festival Community Access Employee Care Program at GMW or through one of the other local medical providers (ie: Bassett or an Urgent Care).

The Glimmerglass Medical & Wellness Clinic can NOT see employees about active Worker's Compensation cases. If an employee visits the clinic and their reason for visiting is deemed to be eligible for Workers Compensation, they will not be able to be treated and will be referred to another medical provider. All employees who have injury/illness as a result of work should get in touch with the Glimmerglass Safety Department (safety@glimmerglass.org) to complete the appropriate paperwork/forms so that if your care requires continued treatment past basic first aid, your care is covered by Worker’s Compensation. Filling out this paperwork with the Safety Department within 48 hours of the incident is critical to being eligible for Worker's Compensation claims.
-
